Charlotte Tickets - December Brings Heated Sports Rivalries to Charlotte by Brent Warnken

Basketball and football are the two absolute breadwinners when it comes to sports in Charlotte, N.C. Luckily for sports fanatics, the month of December rouses nothing but hardcore rivalries to the frontlines as both the Charlotte Bobcats and Carolina Panthers bring the fight to games this winter.

There's plenty to do this December in Charlotte, and it all starts on Dec. 1, when the NBA's Charlotte Bobcats face Eastern Conference rivals the Boston Celtics at Charlotte's own Time Warner Cable Arena. With Charlotte tickets to the big game, you can be in on all the excitement this game brings to the basketball arena.

With ex-Warriors Stephen Jackson and Acie Law now in the lineup for Larry Brown's Bobcats, this Charlotte team is sure to be an even-keeled match for Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett and the rest of the tough Boston Celtics when the two teams face off in Charlotte on Dec. 1. The Bobcats are looking fresh as ever this season, and there's no better way to start December off in style than to get Charlotte Bobcats tickets to the team's upcoming game against the Celtics.

For fans who can't make the Dec. 1 basketball game against the Celtics, there's another chance to catch the fiery Bobcats in action on the basketball court at Time Warner Cable Arena soon thereafter. On Dec. 19, the Charlotte Bobcats will make the Utah Jazz face the music as the two teams battle it out courtside for a big win, and the Bobcats are looking to feast on rookies Eric Maynor and Wes Matthews as this big NBA matchup gets underway.

Basketball might just be the go-to sport in Charlotte during the winter months, but that doesn't mean anyone forgot about the other sports dynasty in North Carolina: the Carolina Panthers. John Fox's Panthers bring down the house at the Bank of America Stadium every time Jake Delhomme, Steve Smith and DeAngelo Williams step onto the field, and the NFC South hotshots are out to prove their worth on Dec. 6, when they face division rivals the Tampa Bay Buccaneers at home.

The Bucs have struggled to get off the ground this season, already on their third quarterback of the year. Carolina has had some problems with quarterback Jake Delhomme, as well, but the team is ultimately sticking with the QB, and December's big Panthers-Bucs matchup is sure to be an all-out affair at Charlotte's Bank of America Stadium. The last time Carolina and Tampa Bay met, the Panthers had QB Josh Johnson at the helm, and with DeAngelo Williams' 152 yards running, the Panthers easily slid past the Bucs with a final score of 28-21. The Panthers need to post a win again on Dec. 6 to solidify their rank over the Bucs in the NFC South, and this division rivalry is sure to be one of the biggest football games of the regular season.

There's plenty to do in and around the Charlotte area this December, and tickets to sporting events and other Charlotte attractions are still available from StubHub even if they're sold out, helping to make the month of December an exciting one in North Carolina!
